Volunteer

Volunteers are critically important to every museum, and the Texas Quilt Museum is no exception! You do not need to be a quilter, because there are many different ways to help.

Museum volunteers and docents assist with the following:

  • “White glove duty” to protect the quilts and turn them for viewing by visitors

  • Chat with visitors, answer questions, and guide tours through exhibits

  • Welcome guests and take admissions

  • Help hang exhibitions

  • And there are many more opportunities for you to be a part of the excitement at the Museum!

Garden volunteers help keep us in bloom!

  • Assist with seasonal planting and pruning

  • Utilize gardening knowledge to help identify Grandmother’s Flower Garden needs

  • Enjoy learning and caring for period plants in this special garden

Join us… (and get to see exhibits first!)
