Kathy says: "I shared the entire making of this abstract Monarch butterfly quilt with my ‘sister’ cousins Mary Lou and Judy as they were both fighting cancer. Mary Lou passed before I could send this quilt to her, so Judy and I decided to let her quilt fly! Thank you Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Quilt Contest for awarding ‘Celebration of Life’ a blue ribbon enabling her to fly to the Texas Quilt Museum and then fly on to the International Quilt Festival!”
