The Studio Art Quilt Associates organization has always made it their mission to promote and advance the cause of art quilting and that genre’s creative lights. That’s more than evident in this themed collection of members’ works, Prism Play: A Full Spectrum of Art Quilts.

This unique and optically bold exhibit allows gallery visitors to view a vibrant spectrum of color almost as though they were standing inside a prism. The exhibition includes 62 art quilts representing the work of 46 SAQA Northern California/Northern Nevada chapter artists. 

“I love this approach to organizing an exhibit. The quilts are all the same size. And because this exhibit is a reflection of the color wheel, the exhibit flows from one quilt to another,” Mangum says. This exhibit is partially sponsored by Reynolds & Associates, PLLC.
