Museum Hosts Children
The museum hosted the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild's launching of a new educational program for kids titled “Quilted Stories.” Guild members created quilts which correspond to children's books. Over 70 quilts have been made. 8 elementary schools are already lined up to receive them for use in the classroom.
The goal of the project is to promote literacy and to hopefully instill a love of quilts to a new generation. Shown is the special preview of the project which was held at the museum.
